Abstract | Heavy metals discharged in the water bodies can either accumulate in the food chains or deposit into the sediment. Since the deposited heavy metals are difficult to be eliminated naturally, river sediment cores usually archive the information linking to the historical emission and contamination caused by anthropogenic activities. The sediment core sample was collected in the Lower part of Chao Phraya watershed to analyze concentration and distribution of heavy metal, there are As Cd Cr Cu Hg Pb Zn and Ni.Pb isotope ratio 208/206Pb and 207/206Pb were analyzed by inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). The highest ranking of potential pollutant evaluation of As Cd Cr Cu Hg Pb Zn and Ni content was found from samples that were located inThachin 1 has AsCd Pband Zn highest concentration Chao Phraya 1 is the located has highest Cr Cu and Hg concentrationand Pasak 2 has highest Ni concentration.Pb isotope ratio(208/206Pb = 1.781-2.298 and 207/206Pb = 0.742-0.872)in the sediment core from the lower part of Chao Phraya water shed.Thachin 2 and Sakae Krang 1 the pollution come from natural source. Pasak 2 has 2 possible sources Coal and Us gasoline. Chao Phraya1 possible from US gasoline and natural sauces and Sakea Krang 2 and Pasak 1 cannot identify. |
