AbstractAs Thailand’s petroleum consumption demand keeps increasing; the number of onshore seismic exploration project in Thailand is higher and higher . It can even surpass the number of offshore seismic projects in future, However, Thailand still lacks of a practical guidance for onland seismic data acquisition similar to the International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC) Land Geophysical S afety Manual. On the other hand direct application of this manual to the specific conditions of Thailand requires modifications and adaptation. Moreover, some part/section of IAGC Geophysical Safety Manual is not applicable for Thailand. Also, a few import ant topics such as HSE Management System, Environment of onland seismic data acquisition, and Thai legal regulations should be included in such a local guidance. Consequently, this research sets in objective to prepare a start - up document on “Guidance on Onland Seismic Data Acquisition and HSE in the Condition of Thailand” based on guidance of International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP) and the International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC) who are well - known in oil and gas explorat ion industry. As a result a complete document on “Guidance on Onland Seismic Data Acquisition and HSE in the Conditions of Thailand” was competed with addition of new features to fit the conditions of Thailand. The first feedback from Department of Minera l and Fuels (DMF) is very positive and it is expected that with further comment and contributions from both management and service factor a practical guidance will be soon in place to help the onland seismic exploration perfect be better conducted.
