AbstractNovel solution for deep excavation, multi - circular excavations was studied by means of case studies and numerical analysis. Numerical analysis was limited to diaphragm wall support. Bangkok subsoil properties were used as a m aterial model for numerical analysis. Two combined and three combined circles behavior was considered with different circle arrangement configurations. For two combined circle arrangement was further studied with respect to different parameters such as, di fferent structural configurations (i.e. Embedment length, strut spac ing, cross wall and ring beam). In these multi - circular structures, within the circular segments, it has high hoop stiffness, but at the intersection point hoop stiffness is almost zero. A t the same time, on the intersection points there has no beneficial effect from arching effect. Therefore, intersection locations are subjected to a high earth pressure. So intersections should design carefully.
