Abstract | Optimized link state routing protocol (OLSR) has be en used for mobile ad-hoc networks to reduce the number of flooding control messages. It is a proactive protocol that provides route for every node according to information of each nod e in the same network. Therefore, this protocol keeps generating control message to sense the network topology and routing purpose. Hence, adding small information inside the control message for broadcasting is possible and is optimized. This thesis report introduces the fundamental conce pt of mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) and OLSR protocol. It does include an overview of O LSR daemon and the procedures to attach the information inside OLSR’s control messag es followed by the performance measurement and evaluation. |
