Abstract | MANET is a group of transitory wireless hosts constructed wit hout any existing infrastructure that is able to organize self and route packets. It is the best solution for situation where installation of infrastructure is not feasible. Since wireless system can be easily deployable with low price, there are a lot of dem anding areas of MANET. Traffics requiring guaranteed QoS are expected to be one of the m ajor sources of traffic over next generation wireless networks including mobile ad hoc networks . These traffics have stringent bandwidth, delay, jitter and loss requirements. Mul ti-constrained feasible paths are required to transmit these kinds of traffics. The works done so far in routing protocols of MANET consider either simply bandwidth or/and delay metr ics for QoS routing. The route that is established considering only bandwidth or delay cannot fulfill the requirement of demanding traffics. To address this problem we have proposed a method for multi-constrained Q oS routing with a novel approach in feasible path selection procedure for MANET . We have compared the performances of our work with the conventional OLSR protocol. It is found that our proposed method performs better than OLSR for higher offe red loads with occasional improvements in lower offered loads |
