AbstractIn this thesis, we propose the design and implementation of cruise control for a passenger car, which is sponsored by NECTEC. The acceleration system of this vehicle is studied. Also the design and implementation of the cruise control are worked. The cruise control is divided into the electronic throttle control and computer control. The electronic throttle control is implemented with a radio control servo motor to position the throttle valve. The computer control of cruise control is implemented with a microcontroller which is programmed with a PID controller. The PID controller is experimented to test its performance at various set speeds and different transmission gears
