AbstractRoad accidents and unsafely situation on the roadway are increasing day by day. In order to prevent life from them, the driving simulator is used as a tool to study driver responses and different driving behavior of each driver. To observe their behaviors and responses, the virtual reality environment is applied to simulate the driving situation and driving atmospheres. Many of virtual reality environments, which have been applied to driving simulators, have been constructed by low level of graphics. It might not give realistic feeling for driver to drive. This research study about construction of virtual reality environment for the driving simulator. In this research, high level graphics have been used to create the virtual reality environment scene or the driving scene. Moreover, driving simulator has been constructed to test the created virtual reality environment scene. The created scene has been evaluated and the result from driving simulator is shown that this created scene is suitable for integrating with driving simulators.
