Abstract | The finite element model of HDD’s ac tuator was modele d and tuned by experimental data. The modal testi ng of all HDD’s actuator components was setup to simulate the real ope ration of each component. The finite element models were used for study the relation of re sonance modes of HDD’s actuator (HSA) and resonance modes of its components (APFA and HGA). The major HSA resonance modes were identified base on the notch profile design. The selection of appr opriate resonance m odes of APFA and HGA lead to good correlation results. The specification of HSA resonance was derived from stability performance of close loop system of HDD. The stability criteria at HDD level was analy zed and transformed to be the gain limitation for HSA frequency response. The resonance specifications for APFA and HGA were calculated fro m the regression models and the specification of each HSA resonance mode. |
