AbstractIn oil and gas production, gaslift plays a very important role. However, gaslift availability does not always meet the demand. The gaslift availability depends not only on the number of lift gas compressors available, but also the performance of each lift gas compressor. Adding into the complexity of the problem, the lift gas demand is also not fixed. It is a function of each well. In addition, each well has its own performance curve which varies with respect to its lifetime. This study aimed at building up a model that could help to optimize oil production with a limited supply of lift gas for the whole oil production fields of Sutuden and Sutuvang, which belong to Cuu Long Joint Operating Company. This model can also be applied to the other oil fields which have the same production configuration such as Petronas, JVPC, etc
