AbstractIn project management, control of cost in order to ensure the project success is the most importance orientation to the company. Co st control embraces monitoring of cost performance to detect and unde rstand variances from plan, ensuring that all changes are recorded accurately, and preventing incorre ct, inappropriate changes from the cost baseline. In oil and gas industry, wellhead pl atform fabrication projects are usually big projects, and hence, ensuring the project comple tion within budget is a very important and challenging task for the success of project. At the present, cost control is not applied to these projects in Vietnam. Therefore, this re search is conducted to help develop a cost control framework for wellhead platform fabr ication projects based on analysis of the existing system.
