AbstractIn this research project, I built various quality control charts to help evaluate and monitor the performance of a steam generation of boiler “10B8001” in Phu My fertilizer plant in Vietnam. The focuses of the project is on the stability of steam pressure and the efficiency of the whole boiler system. The data are the values received from sensors that indicate the actual operation parameters of boiler system. When operating the boiler, the operators should monitor many parameters such as temperature of BFW feed, steam, flue-gas, level of the boiler, pressure of the steam, and so on. They must also control the equipments so as stabilize the boiler system and to keep the process safe, and efficient. Therefore, the quality engineer must focus on the parameters that affect to the system. Data related to these parameters should be used to help construct the control charts and to investigate the performance of the current process. In this project, the individual-moving range and CUSUM charts have been constructed to help keep the process in stable working condition.
