Abstract | This research considers the designing of supply chain network in selecting the approp riate locations of plant and distribution center . The supply chain considered in this research is a multi - stage supply chain that includes suppliers, plants, and distribution centers. A mathematical model is developed which aims at minimizing the total cost of supply chain. In particular, the mathematical mod el takes into consideration the decision of how many and where to open the plants and distribution centers, and the allocation in each stage. Computer program for solution propose using LINGO software is derived to solve the model for some problem cases . Various numerical experiments are conducted to illustrate the applicability of the develop model. |
