Abstract | Nowadays, the coordinated production-inventory in multi-stage supply chain becomes a key issue in supply chain management. So, the mathematical model for the coordinated production-inventory in a non-serial supply chain has been developed in this thesis. The developed model has been formulated for a three-stage supply chain using integer multiplier coordination mechanism in the case that production rates of the manufacturers and the suppliers are not so high. The objective of the developed model is to find the optimal coordinated production-inventory decision that minimizes the total cost of the whole supply chain. The characteristic of the three-stage supply chain model that has more than one firm in each stage is that the upstream firms can supply to many downstream firms and downstream firms can order product from many upstream firms.And, numerical experiments have been conducted to illustrate the applicability of the developed model with many cases. From results of experiment, the developed model is reasonable and useful to make the optimal coordinated production-inventory decision in a multi-stage supply chain. |
