Abstract | The purpose of this study is to derive a multi - state preventive maintenance policy for industrial system s subject to deterioration and failure. The system condition is modeled by a Semi - Markov decision process . Maintenance policy is a set of predetermine a ctivities including preventive and corrective maintenance. The model and mathematical formulation is developed in order to determine optimal preventive maintenance policy that maximizes system availability. In addition , the variation between system parame ters (system availability , deterioration rate ) and maintenance parameters ( maintenance cost, maintenance policy ) i s also investigated. A numerical example is given to illustrate the proposal m odel using LINGO software |
