Abstract | Nowadays, production control plays a key role to be successful in manufacturing. It is very critical in any manufacturing companyto achieve high quality service, short leadtime with lowinventory at a minimum cost. There exist many systems in production control such as push, pull or hybrid which provide different methods to plan, direct, and control the material supply and processing activities in the entire production line. In this thesis, we will focus on and analyzeCONWIP (CONstant Work-In-Process) and Kanban pull systems. The objectives of this study are to build two models of pull system, and comparethem onmeasures relatedto model construction and executionin simulations using ARENA/SIMAN 14 to consider which system outperforms to apply for a single production line with single product in a semiconductor factory |
