Abstract | Forthis study, we aim at findingthe best solution for inventory management of maintenance spare parts at the combined power cycle plant of Petro Vietnam Corporation . For most importance parts some stocks are required due tothe existence of long delivery time . The delivery time whichdepends on lead times and tranportation time createsa need for safety stock. With anappropriate inventory control , policy, the corporation can reduce the inventory in power plant without increasing the cost.Location is also one of the main problems in this research. Each power plant has small warehouse that was built in the erection phase of the plant contract and has a full function requirement for one power plant. If we set up a new centralized warehouse the problem is to find the optimal site among potential sites to locate the warehouse in order to minimize the inventory cost . |
