AbstractAt Cau Tre JSCO, weekly production scheduling after receiving information from weekly sale orders from trading department is not merely assign all working groups of factory to produce products randomly, but it should be planned for optimization of all resources of factories such as labors, machinery and time. Finding out the best solution for weekly production schedule to help optimize available resources, as well as to increase customer satisfaction through lead time reduction, is a big focus of company senior managers, especially production manager. The main objective of weekly production scheduling is to maximize the production output in case of make-to-stock strategy, and/or minimize the total completion time and man-hours of employees in case of make-to-order strategy. Dealing with this problem, factory planner has to face with some cons traints from inside of factory such as limited skills of workers, machinery capacity, etc. From the above needs, this project aims at developing a mathematical model for the weekly production scheduling problem which takes in to consideration constraints related to available labor hours, production productivity (production speed), number of working groups, etc. This mathematical model will help production planner to assign the works much easier than the current way and optimizing company resources.
