Abstract | Offshore structure platform is complex especially in construction process. Pile is the one of important component for fixed jacket steel structure platform. Pile for offshore structure is an issue as there isn't pile load test as pile in onshore. Pile axial capacity becomes uncertain even piles reach its target penetration. Many piles can't reach its target penetration due to many aspects. For example, installator using unsuitable hammer, pile refusal due to wrong pile termination such as terminate at sand layer and pile driving record is never related to pile axial capacity as only word for indicate pile refusal. In order to correlate the main and sub-objectives of this study, research methodology has been separated into three main issues. First, this study adopts the method to optimize pile make-up design for economical reason and avoiding pile refusal. Second, this study also adopts to select suitable hammer. Finally, this study employs wave equation to predict pile axial capacity and driving stress using program. Results show there are relationships between blow counts, hammer size, driving stress, soil condition and pile size. Besides, engineer can estimate the pile axial capacity and blow count only which can later be verifies by pile drivability analyze. |
