Abstract | As the chance of production of oil and gas, especially gas, is higher in future in Myanmar, the number of offshore structures will be increased. As the safety of the structure is important, the reliability of the offshore structure is also one of the impor tant things to be considered. The final design is not usually optimized and it has the increased reliability than the optimum design. To know the increased reliability of the final design, the second order polynomial limit state is used as approximate limi t state function. To form the approximate limit state function, regression technique is applied in this study. The approximate limit state is used for the reason of less computational effort to estimate failure probability and reliability. |
