Abstract | This thesis is presented for finding the solution for oil and gas companies to maintain their business in the low oil price as today, 40 - 60 USD/bbl. The first part of this thesis presents Real Options Analysis that is considered flexibility and uncertainty in its valuation for making decision of investments. The purpose of the first part is to apply Real Options for evaluated and created the option for oil and gas service companies to make a decision that they should invest in any project or not. Moreover, this thesis will compare the traditional economic evaluation technique with real options evaluation technique. The second part is about new business model named Digital Oilfield which is one application of Internet of Things. The simple concept is installing sensors to each equipment in oilfield then collecting a huge data and sending that data through the Internet. People that have an authority can use that data to analyze whatever they want such as predicting unexpected downtime. Moreover, staffs of that oilfield can monitor and operate the oilfield from anywhere and anytime. |
