Abstract | This thesis was conducted for the purpose of assessing the quality of curriculum, teacher performance, educational facilities, and student learning outcome and trying to identify the factors associated with student learning outcome at History department of Kalay University. A survey design and exploratory research were applied in this research. The questionnaire served as the instrument for collecting quantitative and qualitative data and analyzed by weighted average index, bivariate correlation, and statement. Concerning the result, all the quantitative data analysis result showed the quality of the curriculum and educational facilities good, while teacher performance and student learning outcome as quite good. In contrast, the qualitative data revealed the negative points of them. Firstly, curriculum of history department was seen as not linked with job market and needed to align with global trend. Secondly, it was found that the teachers failed to make the lessons stimulating during lecture. Lack of electricity, computer, projector, and internet access showed the low quality of educational facilities. 90% of the students were not confident to get employed verified the low quality of student learning outcome. In terms of factors associated with student learning outcome, curriculum did not have impact on student achievement, whereas quality of teacher performance and educational facilities had moderate positive correlation with student learning outcome. |
