Abstract | Nowadays, the rates of diabetes are increasing with many people who are stressful living conditions. Also, people who were living in remote areas feel difficult to go to the hospital or main clinic areas in immediately times. Measuring and monitoring health have a vital role for the people having diabetes. Since the improvements in the informatics and the communication technologies are very influential in the medical field recently, the e - health monitoring systems obtain the continuous data through the sensors. These data are taken and processed for the purpose of diagnosis, treatment or both. Thus, communication between the doctor in a hospital and patient in remote areas are very convenient. In this study, we develop the monitoring system for diabetes patients in remote areas by using mobile application. Researcher use pulse oximeter , glucometer, body temperature, blood pressure sensors which can be connected to e - Health Sensor Platform (microcontroller board) for the system. In addition, architecture system was divided into two parts between mobile application of patient and web platform of doctor site. The p atient site has sensors connect with the micro controller then they have t o connect with the smartphone for sending data. All data was sent to the database server after all parameters were stored in the smartphone. Doctor site can view reporting of information which getting from the database server on application smartphone and web platform of each patient. Reporting both web platform and smartphone is supporting with doctor site, but the patient site can view their information only smartphone. The reporting shows all information of each patient and also graph summary by monthly or recent histories. Moreover, the doctor can counsel to the patient via e - mail which is very convenient for the doctor through the website. |
