AbstractThis research study analyzes pedestrian accident in Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok is a capital of Thailand with high population density. Most population in this city always use walking mode, so number of accidents are high both in day time and night time. Although most pedestrian accidents in Bangkok are slight and do not report officially but these accidents disturb much people amount. Pedestrian accident data from police and hospital sources were reviewed and classified. Review study cases are in three years period from year 2004 to 2006. Other pedestrian accident data were taken from questionnaire and surveying by limited budget and time. All pedestrian accident data in this study were input to computer system for analysis. This study applied statistics analysis by factor classification and hypothesis test. Data from questionnaire were applied percentage to present felling and opinion of pedestrians. Data from police and hospital source were classified and plot graph. Hypothesis tests were applied with both data from police and hospital for testing significant accident factors. However, results of analysis present many interesting conclusions and recommendations to solve and decrease pedestrian accident in Bangkok.
