Abstract | Road accidents become serious problems since automobiles have been used. Road accidents are rarely caused by a single factor. Accident investigations have established that excessive speed is a major factor in at least one-third of all road crashes, making it the single most important factor to road clashes. Measurement for decreasing the traffic speed is considered necessary to reduce fatality on the road. Methods of speed enforcement should be use for drivers comply with speed limits and decreasing road accidents. Speed cameras are increasingly used to help to reduce traffic speeds in the belief that this can be reduced road accidents and casualties. This study presents the effects of speed camera on speed profile in the study route. The specific objectives are established the change in speed profile before and after study, propose measures to reduce speed. Finally, this research focuses on effects of speed camera on speed profile. The results of this study can use to forecast about the numbers of accident will be reduced when installed the speed cameras on the roads for decreasing the numbers of people are killed, injured and disabled as a result of road accidents in Thailand. |
