Abstract | In Bangkok, Thaila nd, the traffic congestion is considered as seriously problem. Many Thai governments attempted to solve it, but the problem remains. To solve this problem, encouraging of public use is preferred . Road pricing is one of the solution s which is being operated in many developed countries. Many researchers studied about several road pricing types such as parking cost and toll road . Unfortunately, although, fuel charge should be one of the popular road pricings, there are few study about it. This study propose to study the impact of fuel price charging on probability of switching mode to public transit . T his solution can lead to reducing of traffic congestion in Bangkok. The data are obtained by questionnaire survey with in Airport Rail Link corridor, Huamak Station. The Multinomial Logit Model and Price Sensitivity Measurement method (PSM) are preferred to analyze the 400 observed data . The result of PSM show the market price point of Gasohol 91 . The Logit model results that increasing of fuel price can lead to decreasing of private car users by switch to other private modes. However, this policy is rarely effectiveness for high income drivers, income more than 50000 baht per month. |
