AbstractAlthough many studies about the impact of climate change wereproducedin Thailand, there is not enough to response the management of water resources. Most researchstudy on precipitation and its trend. This study evaluates the impact of climate change on inflow which is a consequence of rainfalland a mutual territoryat KhunDan PrakarnchonDam in Nakhon nayok river basin. Also, the result in the reservoir management is evaluated.Temperature and precipitation are weatherdata which hasbeen measuredsimplyand pursued for long time and is a partof hydrology. They aresomeindicators forclimate. Variablesof GCMs outputs are climate data such as air pressure, wind speedand humidity. 2 variables from 3 GCMs with RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 has been selected to use for the assessment of climate change in this study. Temperature and precipitation from CCSM4, HadGEM2-AO and INMCM4 was bias-corrected by statistical downscaling which is the linear scaling approach to be accurate weather datain the study area. There are climate data for historical and future period. The bias-corrected climate data would be evaluated by statistics with observed data and used to predict the future climate.Inflow is a major element of water resources which has been affected by rainfall. In this study, ArcSWAT has been usedfor analysis of rainfall-runoff relationship.Rainfalland flowfrom observed station in the study area would use to calibrate the model, and future rainfall from bias-corrected GCMs data would use to predict the future inflow to KhunDan Prakarnchon Reservoir.Trends of water quantity from inflow to reservoir and the pattern of inflow in a year for future period would be evaluated. Regarding KhunDan Prakarnchon Reservoir, there isa multi-purpose reservoir andthe responsibility for operation inflow and outflow. The pattern of future inflow and its trends affect the future reservoir operation. Future releases and storage volume would be analyzed fromReservoir Operation Simulation(ROS)with the condition of KhunDan Prakarnchon Dam.The operation is controlled by rule curve which is the function of storage volume in this study, and it is management on demands and supply. Also, the operation should consider about the river basin. The storage and capacity of the reservoiris sufficient toresponseall missions, andtheoperation could cope with the future inflow or not. These are consequenceof the study in climate change impact oninflow tothe reservoir.
