| Abstract | Nowadays, the issue of forest exploitation is increasing. Th is is due to commercialized tourism in which investors with personal interests have been developing the forested areas. The environmental impacts of this activity such as landslides, rock slide s , floods , droughts and others effect on the climate change were not envisioned that would also create a range of negative effects and challenges o n economic and social development . Currently, the world’s forest areas are getting narrower. In Nui Cam area in particular, the forest has been under threat due to tourism development and local people ’s activities such as forest fir es . I t has caused serious consequences that led to tragedy. Landslides, rock slides and flood not only cause d a lot of damages on the property and lives of local people , but also hamper the ir daily activities . The Forest allocation policy of the local government for local people is inappropriate. This policy does not meet their living standards so they have to cut trees for firewood and areas expansion to grow other crops. In order to address the deforestation problems, the government should make policies on how to alleviate the local people from poverty , and create legislation to prevent deforestation simultaneously. |
