AbstractThe construction industry is vital for the development of any nation, even though construction projects are commonly faced in uncertainty due to low level project management and performance. To perform the project success, engineering and construction organization need high level and capabilities in financial, internal process, customer perspective and learning. This study was based on quantitative research through questionnaires and conducted to identify organizational performance of subcontractors and how it effect on contractual performance. This study was conducted in Myanmar construction companies and construction projects to study organizational performance of subcontractors and their correlations with contractual performance. The overall organizational performance mean score for Myanmar construction industry is 3.9. The organizational performance is based on four main elements and they can be improved to get better organizational performance. The result showed that the organizational performance is positively effect on contractual performance. That means the stronger the organizational performance, the better the contractual performance. In addition, the relationship management is strongly effect on the correlation of organizational performance and contractual performance. That means if the relationship management is good within parties, project performance would be better. This study indicates not only correlation of organizational performance, relationship management and contractual performance, but current practices of internal process of subcontractors.
