AbstractThis research focuses on the effect of contract management practices on the project success and whether owner-contractor relationships variables have significant effecton the relationship between contract management practices and the success of the project. It reviews about contract management practices, the importanceofcontract management practices on the success of the projectandhowthe relationship is important in project outcomes.Project Success in measured in time, cost, quality and satisfaction in working relationship. Contract Management practices are grouped into 7 groups and there are three owner-contractor working relationship oriented variables which are communication, trust and teamwork. Data was collected from 36 respondents from 36 projects through the questionnaire survey. A survey is conducted in Yangon, Myanmar. Multiple regression analysis is used to fulfil the research objectives. The findings of this study indicate that contract management practices have significant effecton the success of the project.Moreover, it shows contract management practices together with good communication, trust and teamwork between owner and contractor can boost the project outcomes.
