AbstractThis project show above different soil test performed on Bangkok subsoil. In order to analyze the strength o f soil and variatio n of the penetration resistance for cone penetration test (CPT), standard penetration test (SPT) and dynamic cone penetrometer field tests were carried out in AIT campus. The main objective of this project was to compare the above tests for their ability to penetrate the soil resistance. The penetration of soil with respect energy , cone sizes and apex angle of cone were evaluated in this study. Accordingly, a correlation be tween the different tests was also noted to study the modification of an amount when other quantity changes. For dynamic cone penetration, both manual - operate and motor - operate systems were performed in this study. Therefore, there are some differences in above two systems in their input energy because the weights of the hammers are different for each system. In order to consider the influence on penetration resistance, different kinds of cone sizes and shapes were designed to compare the resistance and pe netration depth. Likewise, the cone of CPT and auto DCPT were designed as the standard dimension of 35.6 mm cone base diameter, 60° of cone angles. Other cones were specialized in different cone diameters and shapes. In this study, the tests were interpre ted based on the values of N10 for both manual and auto DCPT - N.
