AbstractIn this master project, I construct WIP models and calculate number of kanbansfor each operation throughout production lineto improve throughput and cycle timeas well as reduce WIP inventoryof a microprocessor assembly and test manufacturing factoryby integratingkey theory of constraints conceptstogether. I will also simulate Push system, Pull system, and CONWIP system based on data calculated from WIP model to have an overview oneachsystem and have a better choicein order to settle production lines with proper factory inventory, appropriate WIP buffered, and high utilization for both constraints and non-constraints to maximize throughput and minimize cycle time.
