In Vietnam, many low cost Airlines have been established, that contributes to the stronger competition in the air transport market. The goal of VAC is to become the second player in South East Asia in the near future. VAC has to face to many challenges caused by the strong competition of other airlines in the Asia region and also to the low-cost Airlines in Vietnam (Tiger Airways, Thai AirAsia, Cebu Pacific, Lion Air). Based on the examination and analysis of the external and internal environment, this study will formulate a development strategy for VAC in all aspects as market share, flight network, fleet, human resources, trade name, sale capacity, services, capital, operation control and security policy…This strategy would helps VAC to develop accordingly to the growth of business environment, aviation market and catch the opportunity in the future.
