AbstractThe power industry is one of the key industries which plays an important role in the industrialization and modernization of the Vietnam. With the rapid growth of the economy, the power industry faces huge challenges to meet the increasing demands of the society. Recognizing the importance of this industry, PetroVietnam Oil and Gas Group has committed for the construction of power projects, producing and trading electricity. There are four power plants of the PetroVietnam in operation, contributing a large portion of electricity for the country. PetroVietnam Power Services are established to undertake the role as providers of professional maintenance services for power plants of PetroVietnam. Since inception, PV Power Services has identified strategies to develop a specific and clear direction to become a unit, to provide professional maintenance services, first concentrating to perform maintenance for the power plant of the PetroVietnam. With the aim of developing internal resources and improve the qualifications of technical staff, skilled workers in the maintenance and repair of power plants, PV Power Services has a roadmap to reduce maintenance costs and repair the power plant industry in the future.
