AbstractIn the context of the beginning world economy recovery and preparation for a new growth cycle, Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry proves itself as the leader to the country's economic development. At the forefront are the oil and gas exploration and processing and exports, for which mechanical engineering serves as a key technical service branch to perform Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam - PVN)’s tasks. Petroleum Metal Structure and Equipment Assembly JSC (PVC-MS), active under Vietnam Petroleum Construction Corporation (PVC) - a PVN member - is the core unit, specialized in petroleum mechanical engineering and manufacturing, and has been designated to become one of PVN’s three largest contractors in manufacturing infrastructure for the nation’s oil and gas projects. PVC-MS is striving to restructure itself and establish a new business strategy, namely the international integration strategy, to advance to a No.1 contractor in Vietnam and a reputable contractor in the Asia - Pacific Region. This research, based on the perspective of Chief Financial Manager of PVC-MS, will put forward a specific, detailed plan aiming at maintaining a reasonable level of fixed costs, namely financial and administration costs, while boosting revenue growth of PVC-MS up to 300% with a specific strategy on human resources and management, diversity of market combining with pricing policy, based on the evaluation of important factors that may affect the above-mentioned strategies. The research applies a SWOT analysis - to examine the company’s business environment. The analysis will then allow the company to identify opportunities/threats in the business environment as well as strengths/weaknesses of the companies involved in the development of this high-tech mechanical engineering and manufacturing service.
