AbstractThis report addresses the issues, challenges faced by the employees of Power Systems of Tata Steel Ltd, India. In addition, how these challenges are affecting their satisfaction & motivation level. The report tried to find out the key drivers of “Employee Satisfaction & Motivation at the Power System Department of Tata Steel” and based on them, the Satisfaction & Motivation level of the employees are further analyzed. Top box analyses are done to find out the satisfaction level of the workers and supervisors. This survey deals to find out trends of the dimensions and these are measured by taking out the weighted mean. The administration of a comprehensive questionnaire and the focus group discussion has proved to be of immense help in capturing the opinions of the employees about the work environment, decision-making, interaction with superiors, the appraisal system in place, the reward and recognition and employee welfare initiatives. Modern concepts and theories of employee welfare and satisfaction as well as recommendations from employees thereby help in providing an engaged workforce, make up the conclusion of the report.
