Abstract | PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) is the main subsidiary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) in the field of activities focusing on his exploration and exploitation of oil and gas. PVEP strategic objectives of the company is to become leading international oil and gas company in Vietnam country and to 2010 stood in the contingent of leading oil companies in the area with economic potential, financial strength and power of competitiveness. Continuing the legacy platform and experience from the first generation of Oil and Gas industry of Vietnam, previously known as PIDC (PetroVietnam Investment Development Company) and PVEP, after more than two years established, PVEP has basically completed stable organization, management apparatus, constructed the development strategy; systematized and built new systems of legal documents related to management activities of PVEP and much more important than ever that the exploration and exploitation activities; and production business have been further strengthened in both domestic and foreign. Development Strategies to 2015 and orientation to 2025 of PVEP in the overall development strategy of Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry have been established on the basis of the views and principles: to maximize the internal force, to court the support of the competent authorities, to strengthen joint venture and cooperation to accelerate development; to promote investment and accelerate oil and gas exploration and exploitation in both home and abroad to achieve the objective of reserves to ensure sustainable development and increased production of oil and gas production, increase the budget submitted to the State effect, combining harmonious economic interests of the corporation and the development objectives of the file Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation and National. Calculated upto July 31, 2009, PVEP has 58 participants of investment projects (54 oil and gas projects and 04 other investment projects) and the prospects of continuing to expand PVEP’s investment scale averaging 1.5 to 2 billion dollars per year. Set-up of a strategic development is necessary to reasonably make the policy orientations and investment measures/decisions to ensure the rational development and sustainable implementation of the targets having been set out in the strategic development of PVEP period to 2015 and orientation to 2025. |
