AbstractLight Furniture Joint Stock Company (LFC), established in 2005, is furniture trading company in Southern Vietnam market. As the result of whole-hearted pursuing business and well analysis after two year of operating business without a proper strategy, “manager”, an owned brand name of LFC that focus to C-Class customers with high quality and deluxe office furniture products, was introduced in July 2007. With its advantages, “manager” have achieved so good performance and quickly acquired market share, passed HOAPHAT furniture, the biggest competitor, to become the leader in this market segment in a short time of a year and mostly contribute to LFC’s success as well. For the past three months, its performance is coming down. Revenue and profit is declining unexpectedly. The “manager” is losing competitiveness and market share. Though this research, the company could grasp not only an overview about the Vietnam furniture market but also an insight about LFC to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. It helps the company review the pursued strategy and has a good appraisal to rebuild up a comprehensive strategy for implementation aiming to a better performance. The analysis result of the research could be useful recommendation for the company in practice.
