AbstractAfter 2 years working for Energy Management Solutions Join Stock Company (ES), company website www.e-solutions.com.vn, which its main business activity is to provide software and hardware solutions for enterprises in electricity industry, the author see the development of information technology in Vietnam and the big significant of demand for deploying information technology in electricity industry. The research aims at building a business strategy for Energy Management Solutions J.S.C to expand the business in Vietnam. In order to come to the conclusion whether ES should expand more business activity in Vietnam or not, the author starts by reviewing the demand of applying information technology in Vietnam and in electricity industry. It is found that the information technology is hug with high demand from enterprises. Moreover, the development of the information technology infrastructure for Vietnam Competitive Generation Market (VCGM) and the needs for investing information system for customer service in the power distribution companies will create more opportunities for ES in business activities. For the better understanding of ES condition in business activities, the author tries to list and analyze the external factors and internal factors of ES, the author also gives out the strengths, weakness, threats and opportunities of company. Finally, with the help of analyzing Five forces model by Michael Porter, SWOT model, the attractiveness and business value of ES are stated to pinpoint opportunity for ES when developing the business activity in Vietnam
