| Abstract | In the current economic situation in Vietnam, the private small and medium companies in Vietnam have to face many challenges to gain the market share and affirm their positions in the fast development of competitive markets. Sustainable Urban Development Joint Stock Company is young company in transport planning consulting field as well as training service. This market is very potential and also faces strong competition from many other companies. SUD has faced various difficulties especially the lack of initiative for planning a strategy for its business in long-term. The objective of this research is to build a strategy for the company in the long-term.
This research starts with review of literature, and best practice of a big company in transport field, analysis of the market and current situation of company. Based on the analysis of current situation, and external environment, the research identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats by using SWOT analysis. This research also uses TOWS matrix to suggest the alternative development strategies for SUD to the year 2020. The research develops a long-term suitable development strategy which helps the company uses of its advantages and sustainable growth. Finally, the research suggests some recommendations for the company to able to implement the proposed strategy. |
