Can training help motivate VVWS to increase more animal's vaccination : the case of Village Veterinary Workers (VVWS)

AbstractThis exploratory research investigates the factors influencing the motivation of the trainees after training. It examines, in particular the relationships between frequencies of training, supports from concerned parties, the reception of equipment and cooperation, teaching contents and methods delivered. This issue is important in helping organization to improve training in the future. In this study, a questionnaire survey was undertaken in which of 360 trainees and 155 trainers were involved. In the data analysis, SPSS program is used to analyze. HR officers’ roles was not significant in VVWs’ training however, about 43% have involved in the setting criteria, guideline for selection and contents while about 30% do setting criteria, guideline for selection and contents and training, and 8% have involved only in training while others 19% are not involved at all. Moreover, it is significantly that 64.7% of most appreciation towards work is to receive additional budget and 63.5% to receive additional equipment and vaccines then to receive regular visit from higher authorities, to receive additional training, to receive suggestions and recommendations and praise. In particular, VVWs who are participating in more training courses will have more capacity to work whereas less participation in the training does less vaccination campaigns.
