Abstract | Integration of CCTV cameras and video analytics increase the value of the CCTV camera networks. Advanced analytics are needed almost everywhere, but they are not easy to develop and deploy. Luckily, the OpenCCTV middleware platform reduces the complexity of CCTV camera and video analytics integration. However, OpenCCTV is single-tenant implementation, which cannot support more than one user or organization. OpenCCTV has varied dependencies that are hard to set up. OpenCCTV cannot currently support many running analytic instances and image streams. Therefore, this research aims to deploy OpenCCTV on an OpenStack cloud enabling it to support horizontal or vertical scalability, add multi-tenant Web user management enabling it to support many users and organizations, integrate Docker enabling automatic deployment and reducing the complexity of required library installation and accelerating the delivery of the software, and measure OpenCCTV’s performance to reveal its bottlenecks and identify suitable hardware for its deployment. |
