AbstractWorkplace safety means to defense workers from hazard in the work. Safety is the first priority for all industries. To defense people, many ways appear to safe, such that giving safety training, wearing personal protected equipment. The level of occupational injuries happening on the world is highlighted in order to many accidents. So, workplace health and safety should focus carefully. In the most of the developing countries, safety laws usually do not exist; if they do, the authority is usually very weak in implementing such rules effectively. Myanmar Occupational health and safety law is under draft and only has Factory act 1959, Myanmar National Building Code (MNBC) and guidelines for construction. Myanmar also doesn‟t have experts and specialist for safety, and government and authority only have low level knowledge for safety. So, Myanmar urgently needs Occupational Health and Safety Law and safety training to birth experts in occupational health and safety. In order to improve the existing code of practice in Myanmar, a framework for Health and Safety management and code of practices in Singapore is suggested. To approach this target an overview of the published materials as well as the legislation from Singapore has been undertaken
