AbstractChildren can learn most when they are enjoying what they are learning and educational games and toys are the best way to combine education and entertainment. Toy and game industry in Vietnam is still young. 90% toys in the market are imported, mainly from China. Educational games made in Vietnam are rare. There are concerns about safety of toys from China. Kids spend more time in the virtual world; there are some concerns about children becoming addicted, socially isolated or developing aggression because of games. A sample of 59 parents in Ho Chi Minh City were surveyed in order to get their perception about five features of toys and games (price, packaging, education, safety, teamwork) as well as their perception of computer games. The five features of EDUGAMES Gamma Company were also surveyed. In this study, we also surveyed how children play at home. The results help to have an overview on toy and game market in Vietnam. These findings about EDUGAMES Gamma Company will help Gamma company to understand their customers and develop their business strategy.
