AbstractThailand’s oil and gas Industry operates under the Petroleum Act and contractually under a concession agreement system. There are some provisions in its law and concession system relevant to decommissioning but need to be developed further. Current inventory of the Gulf of Thailand of over two hundred installations is increasing rapidly as more than a dozen of installations are added every year. There has not been experienced of decommissioning any offshore installation but some of the installations are almost reaching the end of their economic production lives and will require decommissioning in the near future. There are several aspects in decommissioning such as Legal and Regulatory Frameworks, Decommissioning Operation Management, Decommissioning Cost, Safety in Decommissioning Operation, Decommissioning Engineering, etc., this report will concentrate in the decommissioning sequences and technologies which can be exploited for future decommissioning of offshore facilities in the Gulf of Thailand
