| Abstract | Viet Nam is a developing country, together with dramatically developing of the economy of the country, electrical consumable demand for developing industry and economy of the country is very high, many power plant projects have been implemented in Viet Nam nowadays and in the next years. Similar to other infrastructural megaprojects, the power plant projects are very complicated with many fields needed control and management from project integration management, scope management, time management, cost management, quality management, human resource management, communication management, risk management, and procurement management. For the power plant projects which often implemented following EPC contract (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), therefore, the project management task will be very important which requires a management team with good competency and high professional characteristic. There is reality recently that the almost power plant projects in Viet Nam now is facing delay and cost overrun, these problems lead to causation of a huge loss to social economy and obstruction of the development of local construction market. |
