AbstractDelay is one of the most common, important and serious problem which affect the time factor with relation to cost of project in the Construction field. In the large electrical project, especially transmission line project, the delay situation is not strange. It’s difficult to solve clearly the delay situation in the electrical project. But with the purpose of limiting delay time, and cost overrun, there are many studies find out the delay factors. Some factors which are subjective can be controlled and reduced time delay. This report summarized the cause of delay of the electrical projects in Vietnam. A case study of transmission line project will analyze more clearly the facing problems. Each problem shall be evaluate and promote method to reduce impact on the project. Finally, a framework of controlling and preventing delay in the future electrical project is suggested
