AbstractThe geological environment in Cuu Long Basin in Viet Nam is quite complex, with some of small stacked sand in reservoirs. For the block X, the A formation is considered with the oil found in the 14 stacked sands in Lower Miocene reservoirs. These layers are thin, small with low reserve. Therefore, the development of the A Field has many challenges to overcome the geological, reservoir aspects and operation conditions. Composite IPR of stratified reservoir design is an alternative to well deliverability analysis. The basic idea behind this methodology is to construct the Inflow Performance Relationship curve of each layer through reservoir information such as initial reservoir pressure, bubble point pressure, test production rate and flowing pressure, to analyze and group layers that have the same productivity index value, make the comparison of commingled and layer-grouped production, then to focuses on the study of bottom hole pressure, where the significant production from grouped layers can be open for production, predict the production behavior in the future. This study can be used to analyze the well deliverability of other areas in the block X in particular and the Cuu long basin in general
