| Abstract | Vietnam, especially in the South, the cement industry has been developing rapidly in recent years, leading to the faster development of demand of using cement. There are many types of cement are provided to market, bring new advantages to customers and customers have more options. Besides that, Vietnam government is encouraging the development of heavy industry as cement industry which is environmental friendly by releasing many policies that give benefits to cement producers.
Maintenance department is a division of Ha Tien 1, taking the responsibilities of equipment maintenance for all production lines and inventory management. Although Maintenance department was established more than ten years ago, the performance is under expectation, there were improving about maintenance solution, organize structure and management method but maintenance cost for 1 ton of cement is still high level than competitor, performance is not still significant change.
It is the time to analyze the situation of Maintenance department. In this paper, the whole picture of Maintenance department will be analyzed to find down the problems in order to generate solutions that help Maintenance department improve the competitiveness to reduce cost of maintenance, increase performance, and contribute to the sustainable development of Ha Tien 1 Company. |
