AbstractAggressive competition often creates many favourable conditions for companies to determine their suitable strategies for their survival and sustainable growth. Business model is one of the strategic factors that leads companies to reach their objectives and among these business types, the container terminal operators are now facing the tough situation due to lack of cargoes, excess of seaports. Therefore, one of the first priorities that container terminal operators should consider, especially in current global economic crisis, is how to design and develop an appropriate business model in order to overcome such tough circumstance and develop sustainably. SITV is a joint venture of Saigon Commercial Construction Investment Co. Ltd and Hutchison Port Holdings (Hong Kong). In this research, we will study how to develop a new business model for SITV so that SITV can promptly adapt into incoming changes of new economic trends and accomplish its mission successfully to become a leading deepsea container terminal operator in Asia. The new business model of SITV will be classified into three following parts:  Analyse advantages and disadvantages of SITV from its current business model.  Study and understand customer satisfaction, requirement or expectation.  Propose a new business model for SITV.
