Abstract | In association with the continuous increase in investment in the garment and textile industry of Vietnam as a preparation step to welcome for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the Government’s policies have introduced a lot of convenience for the state-owned enterprises and private companies so that they can lead many garment and textile projects, especially spinning ones. Nevertheless, trade competition with enterprises in other countries in the region, such as China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and so on, has created a lot of difficulties making it difficult for them to manage the projects and direct all of them toward the company’s strategic goals. This study was carried out by approaching the financial management of projects as a strategic plan for long term development. Data of the project is regarded as a source for the case study, and from that, the project will be analyzed and evaluated. In this project, the author will focus on the case study of Dinh Vu Polyester project. Project materials, purposes and sources of funds, debt service repayment, income statement, cash flow statement, and financial performance indicators such as IRR, NPV, DSCR, ROE, and so on will be carefully evaluated and assessed for the effectiveness of the project. I will also look into the recommendations for future strategic plan of the company. The results of this study may be helpful to the company as a method to choose the most appropriate plan for future development. It will also demonstrate how the overall strategic decision can affect the overall financial status of the company. |
